Finland – saunas, lakes and nature
Finland is a country of peaceful forests, thousands of lakes and unique northern landscapes. During my travels, I explored Helsinki and several fascinating destinations beyond the capital, discovering both Finnish culture and nature. On my blog, you will find travel stories, practical tips and inspiration for planning your own Finnish adventure.
Why Finland is special to me
Finland holds a special place in my heart. It was after my journey through Finland that I decided to start this travel blog. The photograph displayed at the top of my website has been with me for more than ten years and was taken during that trip. Every time I look at it, it reminds me of the peaceful lakes, endless forests and the unique atmosphere that inspired me to start sharing my travels with others.
What to see in Finland?
During my travels in Finland, I visited Helsinki, Porvoo, Hanko, Hämeenlinna and Aulanko. Each destination shows a different side of the country – from coastal landscapes and colourful wooden houses to historic castles and peaceful forest parks.
