This post was originally published in February 2017, when I started my journey with PlanMyTravels.eu. Many years later, I decided to refresh it while preserving its original spirit and the story behind the blog’s creation.
How did the idea for the blog begin?
As always in situations like this, the hardest part is getting started. What should I write to keep a reader interested? How do I explain my passion for travel without sounding boring?
My travel story did not begin with one spectacular journey. It developed gradually over time. Every trip sparked a greater curiosity about the world, its people, cultures and landscapes. Eventually, planning journeys became almost as exciting as travelling itself.
At some point, I felt the need to document these experiences and share them with others. That is how PlanMyTravels.eu was born – a place where I can collect memories, photographs, practical tips and tailor-made travel itineraries.
Why a travel blog?
PlanMyTravels.eu was created from the combination of three passions that have accompanied me for years: travelling, photography and writing.
- Travelling – I love discovering new places, exploring local cultures, tasting regional cuisine and planning independent journeys.
- Photography – photographs allow me to preserve memories and share the beauty of the places that inspired me the most.
- Writing – this blog became a space where I can share experiences, ideas and practical travel advice with other travellers.
How do we travel?
Over the years, my husband and I have developed our own travel style. We enjoy planning trips independently and adapting them to our interests, travel pace, and budget.
We do not necessarily look for luxury, but we appreciate comfort, good organisation and the freedom to explore destinations on our own terms. That is why most itineraries described on this blog are tailor-made journeys based on our personal experiences.
What has changed over the years?
Many years have passed since this post was first published. The list of destinations I have visited has grown much longer, and the blog itself has developed far beyond what I imagined back in 2017. What has not changed, however, is the passion for travel, photography and discovering the world.
I hope my travel stories, photographs and experiences continue to inspire others to plan their own adventures and discover new places.
